Hahahahha.. No lah.. but I'm playing her latest single "Jawapanmu" over.. and over.. and over again.. target sampai muntah ler.. hahahah.. (Cat's done it again.. And Misha is still a good singer..)
Yesss! Misha finally came up with a new album.. after 841 years of meditation. FINALLY.. An Album titled - MISHA OMAR.. is that the title?
I got mine on the 2nd of December 2008, the day of its release.. Semangat okay.. bertahun tunggu ni.. When i first got hold of the copies, i flipped the CD case to look at the titles off the songs.. Just to be sure it's not a CD apebendetah karaoke ke ape ke before i buy it.. Then, at first look, I realized that the album appears so much like a compilation than an album album.. get what i mean?
See.. there are 11 tracks altogether in the album.. in which are:

2-Sampai Di Sini *
3- Sembunyi
4-Cinta Adam & Hawa *
5-Nafas Cahaya
6-Cinta Suci *
7-Ku Seru
8-Cinta
9-Nafas Cahaya (minus one)
10-Sembunyi (minus one)
11-Jawapanmu (minus one)
In which also means.. Only 4 out of the 11 songs are new!.. (tagged with * in the list above).. that makes 36.36% of the album saje new.. WHAT?!! I was kindda disapointed with it.. suddenly feeling fanatik ok... hahaha.. I mean since when is minus one a track in a full album? Considering i don't sing and i don't need a minus one to accompany me in the bath, having 3 minus ones doesn't really do me justice now, does it? Maybe i should make like a karaoke video? Hmmm..
Well, to be honest.. yes.. i was kindda pissed.. because i waited all these years with so much hope and anticipation.. i even planned to send a surat layang to Misha saying that if she doesn't release an album soon, i'm considering to move to Nigeria to overcome this depression... hahahaha.. erm..
But then, i came to my senses.. I guess, its not entirely wrong to only have 4 unreleased songs in a "new" album.. Considering that it's a trend for many artistes these days to survive on singles.. I figured, it's not Misha's fault that her album has only 4 new songs.. This only means that her singles were all successful. Those new songs were made popular before the album released. So popular that when compiled in an album, the songs were no longer considered 'fresh' despite the fact that they have never been released in an album before.
In general, despite the album being so much like a compilation.. i thought the very few new songs were strong ballads with different types of moods. Misha has always been good at singing really sad songs.. with her ability to sing with crying sensation or whatever you wanna call it, she made songs like "Pulangkan" an important element to the feel of the movie 'Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam".. For this album, "Sampai di sini" is not my type of song, but she did do her magic in lifting up the mood of the song.. So good that it made me so depressed listening to it!
For me, the best way to appreciate Misha is by watching her perform live on stage.. I just LOVE her selamba yet classy showmanship.. When this girl goes on stage, it seems as though she’s just having so much fun!.. I know some of you can’t stand the terkangkang and the overly bending bit that she does when performing.. But u know what? If Christina Alguilera can sing like a gorilla mengamuk.. Then, is it wrong for a Malaysian to have some sort of a weird singing trade? I don’t think soooo.. So that, my dear.. is called - STYLE .... ngok! ..
Well. tak suka-tak suka pun.. people will remember her singing like that.. The point is -- At least, people do remember her.. I wonder when will she be doing her act at Planet Hollywood again? Any idea?
It took Misha 3-4 years to complete the album.. Well, people.. producing an album is not as easy as it looks like.. The investment and effort put into it is not just dollars and cents.. I would know better cos Marsha herself is struggling to get her first album released despite the many songs that have already been recorded over the past 3 years being in the business... *sigh*.. really praying that 2009 will be a good year. Wish us luck!
In general and in my honest opinion, this fresh release is not really up to Misha Omar's standard.. I still think Aksara is the best.. The first one "Misha" was good because it had Bunga-bunga Cinta in it and of course the "first-album-factor".. So, this one could have been better but then again, i don't think i wanna wait any longer.. hahahha.. so Misha.. it's ok.. i forgive you.. wah!.. The songs are all good, but half of them were in the 2007 Muzik-muzik.. So, it's just the matter of how you look at it.
Whatever it is... it is still worth spending your RM29.90 for a copy.. Highly Recommended.
